Join MassTech for Reich!

Maintaining and growing Massachusetts' leading role in the global technology economy is essential to improving our collective standard of living. A strong, vibrant and growing technology industry is a primary factor in the success of everyone in the Massachusetts economy.

MassTech for Reich is a growing group of technology, telecommunications and bio-tech leaders supporting Bob's vision to jump start the Massachusetts economy, provide a world-class educational system, deliver 21st century skills training, and just as importantly, lead a government as good as the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Maintaining Massachusetts Leadership

There are 5 primary reasons why Massachusetts has achieved its high-tech leadership role:
  1. The concentration of skilled technical people
  2. The concentration of leading academic and research institutions which attracts the best and the brightest and is a catalyst for technology and business innovation
  3. The concentration of venture capital and financial institutions that provide capital for business startups and business ventures
  4. A vibrant entrepreneurial community that facilitates the matching of ideas and concepts with capital to grow new businesses and ideas i.e. the commercialization process
  5. The quality of the Mass environment which makes it a desirable place to live, work and raise a family.

Addressing the Challenges of Today's Massachusetts Technology Economy

Bob's ability to unite government, private sector, academic and community leadership, long standing commitment to education and workforce skills development, and vision of smart growth are critical to helping Massachusetts address challenges to its historic leadership position in the high technology economy:
  • High levels of unemployment in the high tech sector
  • Increasing difficulty of commuting to work
  • Needed improvements in public education, especially math and science education
  • Lack of affordable housing
  • Competition from other states and countries in the competition for highly skilled workers and investment dollars
  • Difficulty in starting up new businesses

Join the MassTech for Reich Network Today!

Mass Tech for Reich is a group of high tech professionals who believe Robert Reich is the candidate who best understands both the centrality of this sector to the economy and what must be done to focus on meeting the challenges above.
