YOUR ANONYMITY AND PRIVACY
The Robert Reich Committee believes strongly in protecting the privacy of visitors to RobertReich.org. Visitors to RobertReich.org have the right to remain anonymous. All areas of the site are accessible without providing any personal information. Site visitors can voluntarily offer personal information in several parts of the site. To help us improve, we would be happy to learn any reason for your dissatisfaction with this privacy policy or with our web site procedures - please write to our webmaster at webmaster@RobertReich.org.
GIVING US YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION
When you provide the Robert Reich Committee with your contact information, we will use the information in four ways:
- If you provide us your e-mail address, we will send you news and information about Robert Reich and his Committee, in an electronic newsletter approximately weekly.
- If you provide us your mailing address, we may mail you news and information about Robert Reich and his Committee.
- If you provide us your phone number, we may call during reasonable hours of the day to remind you of important upcoming events.
- If you provide your town on either the discussion board or with comments on your contact information, we may post your comments on our town pages, attributing only your initials and date the comment was made.
We will not sell your information to any third party, such as marketing firms, under any circumstances. We may, however, share certain contact information with other Democratic candidates who share Robert Reich's values Click here to provide us with your contact information.
REMOVAL FROM CONTACT LISTS
If after providing the Robert Reich Committee with your contact information or after making a contribution, you want to update your information, unsubscribe, or opt out, you can do so quickly and easily emailing us or contacting the Robert Reich Committee via e-mail, telephone or written letter. Write to newsletter@RobertReich.org with a subject line of 'remove' to unsubscribe from our e-mail list.
Please note that our opt-out methods apply separately for e-mail, mail, and phone contact, and please specify which contacts you wish removed. Please also note that, because of distributed contacts lists, complete removal may take 2 to 4 weeks. For legal and accounting purposes, contribution records will remain in our database.

INFORMATION SECURITY
The Robert Reich Committee has extensive security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. Our servers are located in a locked, secure environment. For details on our security measures, write to our webmaster at webmaster@RobertReich.org including the reasons you need to know.
COOKIES AND CACHING
A cookie is a small computer file saved to your computer by a website with information used by the site for various functions. RobertReich.org does not employ cookies in any part of the site. At no point will information from RobertReich.org be saved on your computer by the site itself. Your Internet browser (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer) may "cache" portions of the site for faster performance and/or save the site address in its history of visited sites. These operations are controlled by the browser itself, not by RobertReich.org. If you wish to modify your browser's caching settings or delete stored files or history information, consult the help feature of your browser software.
SERVER LOGS AND SITE STATISTICS
Our web hosting company, Intermedia.net, maintains standard log files of traffic on our site including your IP address - the numerical location of your computer or network on the internet. We use this log information for site administration and troubleshooting purposes, as well as tracking which pages people visit in order to improve the site. We do not use these log files to develop profiles of individuals visiting RobertReich.org.
WEB SITE POLICY ON CHILDREN
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children visiting our site. Children are welcome to send e-mail to the Committee, and are welcome to sign up for volunteer activities and for our weekly newsletter, but should ask their parents for permission prior to doing so. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time with their children online and to be fully familiar with the sites visited by their children. In general, RobertReich.org does not and will not contain content that is unsuitable for children.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
The Robert Reich Committee reserves the right to change the policy on use of information collected. Any changes in policy will be noted in a revised privacy policy statement and will be posted at least 10 days prior to implementation. The last date that this policy statement was updated: November 21, 2002.
